Congratulations on your new iPhone 7. I understand you are experiencing some issues with the iPhone possibly restarting and becoming unresponsive and you had to force restart it to get it to become functional again. I know how important it is to have a fully functional iPhone. Let's see what we can do.
The first thing that I'd like to recommend is to make sure that you have a current backup of your device.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Then, if the issue with the unresponsiveness comes back: If the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn‘t respond to touch.
Also, If your iOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo or a spinning gear unexpectedly, is a good article to review as well, if you still notice that your iPhone restarts unexpectedly.
Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. Have a great night! -
Oct 12, 2016 7:48 PM in response to Modelcitixenby Frankieeev, have you gotten an update on this? I have a 7plus and my apps crash and give me a black loading screen. last week I had to bring my phone to the store so they could reset it Because iTunes couldn't even do it here home. i have restored and reset the phone a hand full of times. I even skipped restoring my data from iCloud I backed my pics up on google photo. thought starting as a new phone would help and it's still doing it.
