Q: stars and counter

Hi,

I wanted to reinstall my iMac with a clean Sierra. To prepare it I saved my itunes folder into a NAS.

when I restarted itunes I restarted with the database I saved but lost all my notation as well as the numbers of time I listened my songs.

how can I recover those stars and counter?

thanks

    Hi fabrice,

I believe this information should be stored in an XML document from your original iTunes folder called "iTunes Library.xml" (or perhaps some close variant if it was created by an older system). If you can locate this file, you can import it like a regular playlist: File > Library > Import Playlist. I'm not 100% sure this will work, as I know nothing about NAS.

Did you save the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder?
Then you started iTunes holding Option, selected Choose iTunes library… and selected the iTunes folder on the NAS?
