Sep 27, 2016 10:36 PM in response to LarryHNby nicholasfromclermont,About 2,200 photos but it wasn't a problem until I upgraded. The other thing I noticed was previously edited/adjusted photos appeared as the unedited originals. I need to open them in order to re-edit them. Oh, it's been going on like this since I upgraded a week ago. Very frustrating.

Did you change your iCloud preferences in Photos after the upgrade? Check, if iCloud Photo Library is enabled. The long response time might be caused by the download from iCloud.

Is Photos still using the same Photos Library as before? If your Photos Library is on an external drive, Photos might be using a different library, perhaps on a backup drive, because of some trouble to connect to your main library.
You can see the location of the Photos Library that is currently open in the Photos > Preferences > General: Library location.

How did you upgrade? Did you make a clean install and restored the library from a backup or did you install on top of the current system?

- Yes, I did change my iCloud preferences in Photos after the upgrade. I have since disabled iCloud Photo library in Photos Preferences and verified same in Apple system preferences. I closed Photos and restarted my MacBook Pro (mid-2014), however, the issue still exists.

- I installed on top of the current system from the App icon on the dock.

Apple TVI just (10/1/16) installed SierraOS on my wife's MBPro, also a mid-2014. I went to her Photos app and the same issue now exists on her machine. I checked Photos on ElCapitan, before I upgraded, and it worked properly.
Has anyone else experienced this?
