Q: Is there a way in Logic Pro X to remove all effects on a Channel strip but not the Instrument?

I know about Channel Strip Reset but it removes the Instrument Plug-In As well, are there any shortcuts to remove all the effects at once. On many of my Channels I have quite a lot of Effects that I want to remove  them from the FX Inserts on the Mixer. Thanks for any help!

Why not create some blank Instrument channel strips and load the instrument you want?

The Instrument used will be in the bottom slot, (ES2, ESX24..etc) See  what it is.. save it if you want to and reload it in a blank strip.

Yeah I never thought of that, I want the settings i've made in the Instrument, I just thought it would be easier to erase all of the Effects at one go so I can start off fresh. If there's no way to do what I want, I guess your way is the next best option. thanks!

The instrument settings can easily be saved, then load a blank track Inst track... however, I'm on Logic 9 there may be a way in Logic-X I don't know about... there may be a way in Logic-9 I don't know about.  :-)  I posted the first thing that came to mind.

Go to Logic's Help menu, type in    Tracks    be sure to show all results... it's in there somewhere... or just look at the small menus on the arranges page isn't there one called "Tracks"?

    My workaround would be:

Create an empty instrument track below the current instrument.

Go to the Mixer, then click-drag the instrument from the current strip into the empty channel strip - done!

(You will have lost the instrument in the first strip, though, so maybe duplicate that one first)

    :-)

    Hi

Step 1: Create an empty audio channel without any plugins.

Step 2: Save that Channel strip setting

Steps 1&2 are 1 time only

On your Instrument channel strip, Option click on the Channel Strip Setting button to see all the other types of channel strip settings. Choose Audio and your Empty setting.

This removes all inserts except the Instrument plug. It does not remove any Sends.
