Q: iPhone 7 animation lag...

Just picked up my iPhone 7 32GB.. Noticed a lagg when opening and closing a app for the first time.

When i press the home button and open the app again all goes smooth..
Already talked to Apple support, they suggested to restore to factory with IOS 10.0.1 and not to restore any backups.
Just did that, still lagg...  Bit disappointment, my iPhone 6 was smoother..

Anybody else this issue? Must be! Check it out really good, I think this is gonne be reported alot!

iPhone 7, iOS 10, null

    Hi guys, iOS 10.1 fixes all these laggy issues! I am downloading public beta 1 now to see if it is the case.

    guys I have updated to 10.1 and my phone becomes so hot! I've previously updated it twice it never happened then. anyway, 10.1 still has stutters to me unless i off the zoom option.     the response time tho after clicking the home button is still delayed

    I may be wrong but for my observation on 10.1 it doesn't solve any lags

    If you have options like the magnifier turned on, which requires a triple click, the response time of a single click to go to the home screen suffers. It's kind of waiting to see if you triple click.

    Correct. it does not fix any of the issues. read the parch notes last night and has no fixes for it.

    pretty much have to live with it until they do fix it

    MY 3 ISSUES WITH iPHONE 7

    a) Home Screen Motion Graphics Lag when closing opening switching apps

    b) BMW car stereo Bluetooth music streaming intermittently loses connection / stops working

    c) Apple Watch not showing contact names in Text Messages. Doesnt seem to be working seamlessly with New Iphone 7 as it did with my previous phone iPhone 6S

    I found a solution! No more Stutter, No more lag. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > scroll down a the bottom go to Accessibility shortcut > Untick every options. This will turn off the triple click capability of home button. It appears the lag is due to Iphone waiting if you want to single, double, or triple click. By deactivating the triple clicks the Iphone will react faster. I hope this helps because it solves my issues now.

    This definitely makes things better for me. Maybe there is an issue with the force touch hardware and iOS 10, along the lines of the timing of the triple click detection.

    triple click or double click. still happens. who knows what the issue is. whatever it is. its annoying. nothing seems to get fix it unless you use reduce motion (which just gives you a different transition all together.

    helping out finding a temp solution is fine. but when these so called "solutions" are not solutions at all. its just filling this thread with false placebo "fix's"

    you state that turning off triple press zoom option fixes the issue for you, but i highly doubt that it does. this is a wide spread issue. go to any apple store. and check out the store demo units. each and every single one of them have this issue. AND by default. the triple press to zoom accessibility option is not turned on. so tell how how turning a option that is off by default and that everyone that has an iphone 7 or 7 plus still has this issue but turning off an option that is off by default a fix?

    im not trying to be mean or anything. this issue is annoying and i wish for this to get fixed. but stating these ilogical solutions that have no proof of working is not helping people.

    Mr. Valkyrie, I am not sure whether what options are on by default.

    Here are the 2 things you need to do to have a lag free home button. Note, it's not placebo bec. I can guaranty that my iphone 7 now is lag free.

    * Turn off Zoom

         -    Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom

    * Turn off triple clicks

         - Settings > General > Accessibility > scroll down at the bottom go to Accessibility shortcut > Untick every options.

    Note I am using v 10.1 beta Iphone 7 Black 128 GB, purchased Singapore Sept 17
