Q: Can't download photos from my iPhone 6s to the Mac. The phone is recognized and it says "preparing download" but nothing happens for too long time.

I tried to download the photos to the Mac as I did many times. But since I use iPhone 6s I face a problem: if the photos are many (this time they are about 350 that become about 700 in the download page because of the live process) there is no chance to download them. In iPhoto appears the the communication "preparing download" and it does not disappear any more. I tried to select only 50 photos and asked to import only selected items, but no change. I did it again with only 5 photos but again "preparing download" never ends. What was wron

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.2, iPhoto 9.6.1

Restart your computer and Reset your iPhone. Check your settings and preferences: if iCloud Photo Library and/or My Photo Stream are enabled, the images might already be in your Library, even if the Import window thinks these are "new" photos.

If all else fails, try importing them to a folder on your desktop using Image Capture from your Applications folder.

    -------

    - Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10-15 seconds).

    - Restore your iDevice: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204184

If your backup is to iTunes, make sure it's encrypted.
