Q: iPhoto in Sierra
Hey,
I am currently running El Capitan on my late 2013 iMac and am contemplating moving to Sierra but I have a few questions. At one point iPhoto was disabled back when the new Photos app was introduced (which I think is garbage) but after an OS update the iPhoto app was enabled again and all my photos were there where the should be. I'm wondering if upgrading from El Capitan to MacOS Sierra will do away with the iPhoto app (which I noticed can't even be downloaded from the web anymore) and if the pictures stored there will be deleted.
Thanks in advance.
Mac OS X (10.6.8)

One of the user tips that tells how that migration works - Details of how Photos handles the migration from iPhoto - did you read through the user tips I linked to and take the recommended steps ( Notes on Migrating an iPhoto Library from iPhoto to Photos for Mac ) prior to upgrading?
