Q: Where do deleted playlists go?
As a test, I deleted a playlist that I don't need, and looked in the (Windows 7) Recycle Bin to see if there was something corresponding to it there. Nope. For future reference, does a deleted playlist go anywhere one can retrieve it from if deleting it turns out to be a mistake?
Thanks,
Peyton Todd

An iTunes playlist is just a list of references to songs in your library, and all playlists are stored in the iTunes library database (the iTunes Library.itl file). When you delete a playlist iTunes will remove the list of reference from the database - there is no separate "playlist file" that could end up in the Windows recycle bin. You can immediately reverse an accidental deletion within iTunes (Edit > Undo) as long as the delete operation is the last thing you did.
