Q: ReSound LiNX2 961 - To Stream or Not...?
I am getting my new (first time) LiNX2 961 hearing aids next week, and doing my homework. Those of you with simple age-related hearing loss (moderate loss at progressively higher frequencies) can help me wrap my head around a basic streaming question. When, if ever, would I want to stream?
For example my wife and I love action movies, but when the TV volume is lower I keep asking her what someone said. Is that solved by setting up a Unite TV Stream 2 as a fix for having to raise the volume to hear conversations and then lower the volume for the loud action scenes, up/down/up/down? Or will my hearing aids fix that without needing to stream?
The context of the question includes where I occasionally wear headphones or ear buds to listen to streamed audio without disturbing others nearby, such as watching a Netflix movie while my wife is reading. So it seemed that I might only want to stream for that purpose, rather than to remedy any age-related hearing loss. I am not sure streaming serves any other purpose.
How do the rest of you find streaming useful or important?
