Q: Weirdest problem EVER

Hello fellow users. I have a doozy and Im spent. I have a mid 2012 MBA 13 inch. My SSD went south. I replaced the SSD with an OWC and bam, it worked. I shut it down and then I got the folder with a question mark in it again. I have noticed that it does seem to get rather warm. So I put it in the freezer for about 1 minute and it fired right up and works like a champ for as long as I need it to, but when I shut it down, it won't see the SSD until I cool it in the freezer for about a minute or so. Now I obviously realize I have a cooling/heating issue, but my question is where do I look? What do I look for? I would also like to note that my battery is acting very funny. Draining fast, showing different drain times, gets to about 22% and dies. So, I may need a new battery. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have spent many many hours to get to this point and just don't know where to look from here. Thank you all.
