Sep 20, 2016 11:03 PM in response to Ingo2711by glefu,My screen was cracked, so it got replaced but that's about it.
would the replacement screen cause it to not work? because it was working fine before I updated to ios 10.

Sep 21, 2016 12:04 AM in response to glefuby Ingo2711,Has the screen been replaced by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider?
There have been reports that 3rd party replacement parts can cause these symptoms, especially the message about the phone needing to cool down and the camera / flash not working.
The firmware on the phone might also check the built in parts to be genuine, which can also lead to those issues, if non Apple hardware is being detected.

Sep 29, 2016 1:50 PM in response to glefuby RS139,I have this problem too. No screen change either. what I find is id you swipe across from camera to video and back to camera it will work - the black screen does disappear. However, it does return the next time you use the camera so have to repeat this every time.

Sep 30, 2016 9:06 AM in response to RS139by amcomis,Interesting. Since updating to iOS10 I have a problem similar to this. I have a 6s that has never been serviced. Sometimes when opening the camera app, the view is almost totally black and seems to attempt to focus. Sometimes swiping to video and back a couple times fixes it. Restarting the phone seems to always fix it. This has only happened ~5 times since updating the iOS. Unsure if mechanical or software.

Sep 30, 2016 10:44 PM in response to amcomisby goldenrini,Hi, Amcomis,
I too, have this problem. I have a 6s plus, and it immediately broke after the update to iOS 10. This is definitely a bug with this silly update which, has not only broken my camera, but my battery life, display appearance, calendar, ringtones, etc. I dislike this update very much, and wish I could go back to the previous one! So no, it is most definitely a software BUG.
Have a great day!

Oct 3, 2016 7:34 AM in response to Ankush Narulaby aforkbends,Ankush, i have tried this method multiple times with no resolution. I'm not going to a retail store as my camera was working fine before. Front-facing camera still works--rear camera just gives the error message.
