Sep 28, 2016 11:29 AM in response to JetEngr19by purincesssss,Same issue with me. iPhone 7 128GB Black on AT&T. Had my phone for about 12 days, and this only happened a few days ago. Blue dot keeps jumping between my location and another nearby location every 3-5 seconds. When Maps and Google Maps is zoomed in far enough, it makes the screen very jumpy. This is especially bad when I was using the navigation function. I was on Apple's Chat Support for 2 hours yesterday and they asked me to bring it in.

Sep 29, 2016 4:17 AM in response to purincesssssby herreraj69,Would be nice to hear from Apple on this issue. At least us know you are aware of it and are working on a fix or something.

Sep 29, 2016 1:43 PM in response to herreraj69by Spaniel_Dave,I too get "no signal" while using Waze on a Verizon iPhone 7 (128GB).
I've been working with a Level 2 AppleCare Support person for a few days now. He's been in touch with Apple Engineering who asked that I enable cellular logging on my phone (someone also reported this earlier) so they could see more detail. Logging has been enabled (they sent me a piece of software for that) and I will be in touch with him tomorrow to send in the logs. Strangely, once I enabled logging, the problem is much less frequent, although I do get one bar quite a bit. I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not.
Apple is aware of the "no signal" issue (as is Verizon) but they don't have a solution yet. Once I hear back, I'll post the response.

Sep 29, 2016 2:30 PM in response to purincesssssby purincesssss,I brought the phone in to Apple Store yesterday and they replaced it with a new phone for me. It was annoying that this happened, but I'm glad I got a new phone replaced. Hope they found the root cause of it. Apparent it's a hardware issue, not a software one.

Sep 29, 2016 10:28 PM in response to JetEngr19by Set777,Yes, I'm facing some issues:
- I bought the Phone 2 weeks ago;
- the first time I tried was on the run in Florence (corri la vita) using Runtastic;
- At the end of the run Runtastic said that i run for 12,9 km, meanwhile everybody said 11,46km (too much);
- In the picture below I compared the Iphon7 iOS10 with Iphone 5 with iOS9 (in the picture iOS5 is a mistake);
- With Iphone 7 it seems the Spider Man's phone;
- With Iphone 5 you could even understand if you are running on the sidewalk or not (the two lines show going and coming back run).
- I tried again (second time), it looks better, but still sometimes jumping on roofs.
I had a running also with Iphone5 iOS10, I saw that it was not precise as it was with the previous iOS9; I don't know if the issue is hardware or OS (iOS10 is really a good OS, but I found lots of strange things happening, sometimes reboot helps)

Sep 30, 2016 11:10 AM in response to TwiterZXby Mike Zanker,That's not really a bug. By default, the Maps app doesn't check your location in the background, so sometimes you have to tap the arrow button to get it to search for your current location.

Sep 30, 2016 11:29 AM in response to Mike Zankerby TwiterZX,But this time its really a bug.
On both iPhone 7 and iPhone 6S Plus, I took the screenshot after a cold start of Apple Maps, and requesting a location refresh by pressing the location icon on the top right.
The location icon is not coloured blue just because I moved the map on both iPhones to see the difference of locations.
Try it, tap the location icon, wait for a refresh, and move the map, you'll notice that after a move of some pixels, the icon will change its state.

Oct 1, 2016 11:23 AM in response to JetEngr19by Brscott628,Same here. 7+ 128gb matte black. Strava app records wavy lines on my runs. Gives me credit for running farther than I actually did. Very annoying! Hope it's not a hardware issue. Apple????

Oct 2, 2016 12:23 PM in response to JetEngr19by Axxou,I have the same problem: the GPS accuracy on my iPhone 7 is really bad.
I used to track my run with Strava with my iPhone 6 and realised it was not working anymore after I get my iPhone 7.
I thought it was the app but noticed other GPS-based apps were not working (Apple Maps, Google Maps, etc.).
Here is a photo of my iPhone 6 (left) compared to my iPhone 7 (right). Same condition (Wi-Fi off), same carrier, same OS version (10.0.2). Look at the horizontal and vertical accuracy, it's as if my iPhone 7 was not receiving any GPS signal (only carriers). I really don't know what's wrong and if it is a software or hardware issue.
I will try to get an appointment at an Apple Store asap.

matte black 128 on AT&T.
Using gps for directions is impossible. My location jumps miles and sometimes even goes the "wrong way". My wife's 6S running the same version of iOS side by side is rock solid.

Oct 3, 2016 6:14 AM in response to JetEngr19by mrgarygnu,I have the exact same problem. I ran the iOS 10 public beta on my iPhone 6s and did not notice this issue before upgrading to the iPhone 7 (jet black). However, when I reboot the phone, the issue goes away for some time, so I haven't tried going the replacement route. Fortunately, after reading this thread, it seems like it's unlikely to help, anyway.
Most often the problem begins to occur after driving and using Google Maps, but it's visible from within any app where I'm using location services. The orientation appears to be incorrect, and my location jumps around, being off up to a mile or so. This is really annoying!

Oct 3, 2016 6:33 AM in response to mrgarygnuby Will bird,Just some additional information. I updated to the 10.1 beta and still having GPS issues in all apps that need to use a GPS location.

Oct 3, 2016 9:01 AM in response to JetEngr19by rogueknits,Just commenting to add my "me too."
I'm on iPhone 7, Rose Gold, AT&T. First noticed the problem when tracking my runs in Strava--the gps looks like it has a lock (or at least it's finding my location within a hundred feet), but once I start running it becomes wildly inacurrate. Strava map will show zig zagging on a straight out-and-back route, and adds about .2 miles for every mile run. I took it in to the Genius Bar this past weekend and all they would do was "Restore as new" and made a note on my account that if I continue to have problems they will replace with a new phone. Of course, on my test run yesterday it's still glitching. Not sure if it's worth going to all the trouble to get a new phone at this point--sounds like the replacements aren't faring much better.
I will note that before upgrading to the 7, I loaded iOS 10 onto my 5s, and that phone, too, started experiencing gps inaccuracy. I don't think it was nearly as bad as it is on the 7, though.
