Q: Windows installer for iCloud will not complete successfully. How do I troubleshoot?

Downloaded iCloud to my PC but Windows installer says the installer cannot install the last part of the download. How do I troubleshoot?

iPad Air Wi-Fi, Cellular, iOS 9, Windows 10

A:

Try to uninstall iCloud gor windows and than install the newest version 6.0.

if you can not uninstall it use the Microsoft fixit tool https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs- from-being-installed-or-removed.

Windows 10 is currently not supported "Microsoft Windows 7, 8, or 8.1. Windows 10 currently isn't supported with iCloud for Windows." -> see

Not true! My Icloud was synching fine with windows 10 until I installed office 2016. That is where the problem is.

It maybe worked but it is still offically unsupported (iCloud for windows works for me for example with Windows 10 and Office 2016) aand therefore AppleCare can not provide any support.
you should wait until a new version of iccp for windows is available with Win 10 support And Office 2016.

I still cannot update iCloud for Windows beyond version 3.1. I have Windows 10 on my PC and I have iOS 10.0.2 on my iPhone and iPad. Why is it that this has not been fixed yet? I keep getting a message that the downloaded update could not be installed because of a "problem with Windows Installer." I am not experienced enough to know what to do about this cryptic response. How do I get iCloud for Windows updated beyond version 3.1?
