Consider for a moment what may have caused the delay. There was a massive monsoon off the Pacific coast of Asia last week. Buildings were destroyed. People died. And flights were canceled all over the area, including Korea, Hong Kong and the Philippines. It would be a really good reason not to ship anything from a factory in the affected area. I doubt the monsoon was Apple's fault. Or the shipper's. It was probably at least partially related to global climate change, however.

I ordered on the 16th, and now my order is stuck on zengzou china for 2 days now with no updates. People on the net are saying it should take 4 days to be delivered after all its expedited shipping. Its amazing to see how apple after soo many years of selling iPhones still haven't solved logistics problems. This is 2016 how is there shipping delays at this age?

You obviously do not ship or receive things very often.

This is not an Apple issue it is a UPS Logistics issue. There was deadly weather in the Southeast Asian area that did cause delays, mine was stuck in Hong Kong for 3 days.

I have no issue with that and am more concerned with the people who live there and hope they got through it. I don't like that fact that you have to call UPS (which is an effort to find a human) to find out there was an exception and to get an actual update of when your device will arrive. Mine said it would be delivered today so I rearranged my schedule so i could be here. But looking at the tracking it said it arrived in Louisville, Ky an hour before I again looked at it and did not show out for delivery. I called and got the apology for the delivery exception (not shown on the computer) and was told it would be delivered on Tuesday the 4th of October. I asked it they were going to update to that status. They said yes. They didn't update it after 3 hours.

But this is an issue with UPS, not Apple.

No one here has your phone. You will get your phone when you get it. Throwing a tantrum will not get it to you any sooner.

    Shipment Progress

Obviously I don't have enough "Frequent Deliverer Miles".

Apple must start paying their bills!

What on earth does that mean?

Once the phone is in the hands of the shipper, Apple has no more control over when it gets to you.

So if I owe money to someone, put a check in the mail and it never arrives, the debt is now with the mail service?  (I believe this argument has been tried "twice" in the last 2000 years and has failed on both occasions!!)

The  contract to supply is with Apple not UPS. Apple's logistical arrangements/failures are their problem.

They owe a phone, not UPS.

Sending a check by the USPS through normal channels is not the same thing as shipping something with a contract. If you send your check by certified mail the circumstances change. We are talking about a shipping contract that Apple made with UPS and that you entered into when you made the purchase. If UPS completely loses the package, or delivers it to the wrong address, they have insurance and it is their responsibility to make it whole. Apple can and will work with them in doing so.

But we aren't dealing with a situation where the iPhones will never be delivered, we are dealing with them being delayed. That is on the shipper and in many, many of the posts here there is a reasonable explanation. Apple has no direct control as they do not operate UPS in any manner.

    Errr no.

There is no contract between UPS and the customer.

If UPS lose a phone, Apple owe the customer a phone.

Apple then have a claim against UPS for its loss.

The purchasers liability begins with a signature and a sweaty palm1

"As Apple takes care of the dispatch of the products you purchase on the Apple Store, the risk of loss or damage to the product(s) shall pass to you when you, or a person designated by you, acquires physical possession of the product(s)."
