Q: Thunderbolt Bridge Manual IP no longer working with Sierra

I am using a Thunderbolt Bridge connection with Manual IP to connect 3 mac's to my main MacPro, since the Sierra update I can not connect any of the mac's via the Manual / Static IP any more.

Please HELP, am I missing something? It worked before and now it no longer work.

    Anyone ??

My work is standing still and my staff is looking at me.

    Please help !!!

I also notice that since the Sierra update every time I connect to the or a server via LAN cable or Thunderbolt it pops up this box, Screen Shot 2016-09-28 at 08.08.48.png - this only use to pop up once (when I set it up) and hten never again, unless I re-install the OS.

Perhapse there is a new way of setting up a Maunaul IP or I never did it right. Please help.

I am paying my staff for doing nothing at this moment.

I was using DHCP with manual address before, and it is setting subnet mask as 255.255.255.255. I don't know if this behavior is new in Sierra.

    What worked for me is,

    1. On the source (a MacBook Pro), I left the configuration to "Using DHCP" (mostly because I rarely connect from the iMac to the MacBook and do not care about the static IP there). Subnet mask got set to 255.255.0.0 automatically.
    2. On the destination mac (an iMac), setting the "Configure IPv4" to manually, setting the IP address to what I want, and then setting subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 (this is the subnet mask my MacBook shows)

I did this after deleting and recreating Thunderbolt Bridge interface on both iMac and MacBook.
