I have resynced my ipad to delete old photo files. I chose a new folder and agreed to remove, but they are still there. What have I done wrong?

Hey nelgren,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. I can see from your post that you're having issues removing unwanted photos from your device but also have them saved to your computer and I'd be happy to help with this. If you created an album on your iPhone by tapping on the plus sign, naming it, and adding photos to it, you can easily tap edit and delete that entire album at any time. However, deleting the album will not delete the photos from your iPhone or iPad. It only deletes that album. The photos themselves will remain in collections, other albums, and in Photo Stream. If you want to delete certain photos from an album, you'll need to delete them from the album on your computer and then apply sync changes in iTunes. If you want to remove an entire album, just uncheck it in iTunes and sync again.
For photos that you want to keep on your computer but remove from your device, you can follow the steps in the link below.
Cheers.
