Q: Help with Thunderbolt..
I'm a live sound engineer, and I'm headed out for a Christmas tour using my gear. I bought two 2011 Mac Mini's (both with 2.3GHz and 12GB of RAM). Coming out of both units via Thunderbolt I'm going into a RPMTB248 I/O box. Allows me 48 channels of audio inputs and outputs. I had been coming out of that unit with a Mini Displayport to DVI cable to use as a second screen. I wanted to make the back of my rack a bit cleaner, and saw that Switchcaft made a EHMDP2 Mini Displayport feed through. So I bought a pair. Now I can't get the displays to work at all. Doesn't make sense. Still running El Capitan. Does Apple allow you to use a mini display port to DVI adapter coming out of a thunderbolt device? It's worked in the past, so I would assume it would work now, but with this feed through it's not working. I've bought thunderbolt cables to come out of the I/O box into the back of this feed through thinking it might need all the pins then on the front of it use the mini displayport to dvi adapter. NOTHING.. It's making me pull out what little hair I have left..
Please help...
