Q: Moving files to fusion drive

I am new to the iMac.  We have files on an external hard drive to move to the fusion drive on our new iMac.  But I cannot see the contents of the fusion drive or the structure to ensure I will be moving the data from the external drive to the right spot.  Where do you move the data on an iMac?

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), iOS 10.0.2

If you double-click on the internal drive icon, you'll see the root level of the drive. You can then "burrow" down. Your apps go into the Applications folder at the root level. This way they will be available to all users.

Your documents and files should go to the Documents folder under Users > your user account name > Documents.

You also have access to Applications, Documents and Downloads folders right on the Dock. Single-click opens them. Right-clicking gives you choice of format and you can continue to burrow down to other sub folders, once you set them up the way you want.
