Q: iMac no longer reading external hard drive

I have a mid-2011 27' iMac. I have 2 external hard drives attached via USB ports.

Yesterday I updated to Sierra and now the computer is not able to open my newest, largest external hard drive. When I open finder, the left hand column shows all three, but the one that it is unable to open now has a different icon than the other two, which it didn't before.

I have cleared the PRAM, and have run First Aid from the disk utility. I also unplugged the hard drive in question and attached it to my MacBook Pro, which opened and read it without any problem, so I don't think the external HD is bad. Once I plugged it back into my iMac, again, it wouldn't open. I get a pop up that says it can't be opened because it cant be found.

Anyone out there have any suggestions for a Dummy on how to get it to read the hard drive?
