I don't think so. Why we need data recovery software? iCloud wiil be the best.

An easy way to recover recently deleted photos is to go to the "Recently Deleted" photo album. If you have not permanently deleted them they should still be there and you will have the option to recover.

I am not certain what the time frame is until the photos are permanently deleted, but I believe they'll be there if they were deleted within the last day.

It is important to pay attention to the date of the post you are responding to. You responded to JohnJackRice whose post is dated in 2013. There was no such thing as the "Recently Deleted" album until iOS 8 was introduced in 2014, so the solution you provided would not work with an iOS that was running in 2013.

FYI - Recently Deleted photos stay in the Recently Deleted folder for 30 days. There is a countdown timer that accompanies each photo showing how many days are remaining until each photo is deleted.

Where you able to fix the issue? The same thing just happened to me. The only difference is that for some reason, all of my brothers info. went to my phone:(

i dropped my phone to water after that i check it and it's LCD was destroyed and i have to change it .now after change it's LCD the phone did not turn on and they say if you change it's OS version it will be turn on but i have some photos and videos that i don't want to be lost them.
