In the times I still used Aperture I imported them directly from the iPhone into Aperture with the "import" button.

If this does not work for you, you can also use Image Capture and import your pictures to your HD. Afterwards you can import them in Aperture.

The same works also with Photos: import + export to the location you prefer and later import them again in Aperture.

    Good luck!

Is iCloud Photo Library enabled on your iPhone SE?  Then importing directly to Aperture using a USB connection will not work, because the original image files may not be on the iPhone but in iCloud.  In that case download the photos using the web interface at www.icloud.com.   Otherwise connect your iPhone to a USB port and proceed as OnTheEdge1 recommended
