Q: Apple Music best practices?

I have a laptop, a Mac Mini, an iPhone, 2 iPads and a Mac Pro (at work) and seem to run into constant issues with Apple Music and iTunes, specifically songs and playlists constantly needing to manually added to my iCloud Music Library.

Is there a best practice here? Should I only manage these from a single device or computer?

I have a decent portion of my music duplicated on my work computer - is that part of my issue?

I just feel I am constantly having to monitor my playlists and re-add or re upload songs to have them be consistently available everywhere.

    Hi,

FIrst and foremost, make sure that your main library is matched or uploaded. Keep a separate back up on an an external drive. Manage most of your changes on your main computer including updating playlists but this should not stop you from making some changes on iOS devices.

Using a second computer should not be an issue. Make sure all music on that computer is in the cloud - you will have access to download the rest of your music.

My music is in the cloud, but all be damned if I don't have to keep re-uploading over and over. And when it all seems clear and uploaded, I'll have to upload certain songs again, a few days later. Baffling. I am wondering if my duplicate library of music at work (and duplicate playlists) have caused this. I am tempted to wipe that account completely and just have it connect to Apple Music.

actually I'm wondering if having iTunes open on both my work computer and home computer could be causing the issue
