Q: Photos in the Camera Roll on “iPhone” cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode

iPhone 6+ updated to 10.0.0.2 and now getting the error, Photos in the Camera Roll on “iPhone” cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone to view and import them.

No solutions offered so far are working. Guess I’ll have to wait for bug fix release from Apple…

Thank you. This kind of worked. On iPhone I used the Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy option and then iPhoto did let me access iPhone. However, it is only seeing the last 10 photos on iPhone as available to Import?

"Photos in the Camera Roll on "iPhone" cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode."

Hi, all and thanks for reading.

I have a problem, and cannot get my photos off my iPhone, ...  using iPhoto 08, on my Mac OS X 10.6.8.

I normally download my photo's in the iPhone 5, camera roll, using iPhoto 08, and usb plugged into MAC.

All of a sudden my iPhoto 08 is blocked by iPhone password.?

    I get this message.

"Photos in the Camera Roll on "iPhone" cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode."

"You must enter your passcode on the iPhone to view and import them."

I am thinking it may be since my new iphone update a few weeks ago ... I think ... but not sure.

Worked perfectly a few weeks ago, and pretty sure did not update any mac programs, just iPhone.

Photos in the Camera Roll on  "iPhone" cannot be viewed in iPhoto, or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode.

So I unlock the iPhone, same message.

So I removed my iPhone lock. Restarted Mac, plugged in, opened iPhoto, and got the same message.

I read online numerous fixes, including the "trust a computer", but none work.

One was to open itunes. But when I open iTunes, I now ALSO get a message ... iTunes could not connect to the iPhone “iPhone” because an invalid response was received from the device.

Apple advice is to make sure I have the latest version, this is the problem, but I have the latest version. 11.4.

I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8 and a iPhone 5. … iPhoto 08. I cannot update to a newer system, or programs for numerous reasons. Please don't recommend.

    Any help appreciated.

A similar problem. I have an iPhone 5 which was recently upgraded to iOS 10.0.2 . This operates in conjunction with an old Macbook running 10.6.3. Since upgrading to 10.0.2 . Since the upgrade of iOS I cannot download photo from the iPhone to iPhotos on the Macbook. On the iPhone a message comes up "Trust This Computer? Your settings and data will be accessible from this computer when connected" - with option of "Trust" and "Don't Trust". Pressing "Trust" achieves nothing. Meantime on the Macbook a message from iPhotos opens "Photos in the Camera Roll on theiPhone cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone to view and import them." Entering the passcode on the iPhone has no effect. Have tried turning off the passcode - no effect: restarting the iPhone - no effect; changing USB port - no effect; restarting the Mcbook - no effect; tried shouting too - no effect.

This has only happened after upgrading to 10.0.2. Is there a bug in the new software - or is it incompatible with the iPhone 5?

If there is a bug is Apple prepapring a fix?

Try Wondershare TunesGo, I downloaded this and it works, not only can I use this program, BUT FOR SOME REASON, my iPhoto does not ask for password and works, just like before.
