Q: Why no lyrics in iOS 10 Music app?

Ok, iOS 10 is officially out, and NONE of my tracks (which ALL have lyrics, previously displayed in iOS 9) are displaying lyrics in the Music app.

... and I noticed something new in iTunes 12.5.1.21 ... when I look at a track's Lyrics tab in the info pane, there is a checkbox in the lower left for "Custom Lyrics":

I have the same issue John, which is HUGE for me.  I use the lyrics tab for not only lyrics, but background and historical information on the song and the album.  I've entered this information for THOUSANDS of tracks!

I have spent countless hours proofreading online lyrics and then pasting them into the Apple lyrics. My problem is different though. Instead of deleting the song or whatever, the lyrics just sometimes decide to not appear on my iPhone when I sync it with my computer. A handful of songs are uneffected, while others are completely blank. What's stranger is that the songs that do have the lyrics switch every time I sync. It's really stupid and I am not happy at all with the new Music app.

So, this solved the problem for me - I synced my phone (via USB to an encrypted local backup on iTunes, the way any civilized person does), and clicked on the device button to view my iPhone's sync settings. In the Music tab, I unselected Sync Music, then clicked Apply, which synced the phone again removing all the tracks from my phone. I then checked the Sync Music box and re-synced the phone so the tracks were completely reloaded onto the device. Lyrics were back!

I actually called apple yesterday, and while I was holding, I found another post which said something similar to ^.

Worked perfectly for me as well, so that's probably the best solution atm.

There is no "Sync Music" box to check or uncheck if you've got iCloud Music turned on. So now what?Screen Shot 2016-09-27 at 4.08.30 PM.png

Tried this but only some lyrics shown on iPhone 6S Plus, still some songs no lyrics shown even though in iTunes all my songs are with custom lyrics enabled!

This is so frustrating, Apple please do something to fix this bug.

You are correct - upon subsequent sync, the lyrics were lost again - for example, when iOS 10. 0.3 came out...  I've had to remove all the music, and reload it several times now... very frustratin.  I have an official support case number with Apple on this.

Do post an update at here if you got any workable solution from Apple. Thank you!
