Q: OS X 10.12 Sierra - cannot scan from Canon Pixma MG 7550
Since updating to OS X 10.12. Sierra I cannot scan from Cannon Pixma MG 7550.
I can print - but can not scan. I have been in contact with the local Canon Support, have updated and reinstalled the driver - nothing helps!! I (and Canon) think the problem is in OS X 10.12. Sierra. What do you suggest?

There is a temporary workaround.
Open System Preferences.
Choose Printers & Scanners.
Click on the icon for your Canon printer in the left (white) column.
Click on Open Scanner toward the right (in the gray area under the printer name).
A "Scanner" window will open.
Click on the gray Scan button. Scanner will warm up.
Click on the gray Scan button again. Depending upon your setup, you may have to search for a file named Scan.jpeg or Scan.pdf or whatever your default scan-file name is.
