Q: iTunes Store layout huge (can't scroll or click)

When I open the iTunes store, the default layout is huge.  Images of album artwork are very large, and the right side navigation is not even visible.  I do not see any of my scroll bars, and when I use my mouse wheel to scroll, I go directly from the top of the page, directly to the bottom of the page.  I cannot see anything in between.  I zoomed out, so that I could see smaller icons and small font, and can also see the right side navigation, but then my cursor cannot click on items.  The mouse location and mouse actions do not line up.

I have already tried the solution of going to Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Reset Cache.  That did not work for me.  I am using iTunes on a Windows 10 PC, and upgraded to the latest iTunes version.

    Hey Designasaurs,

If you are having some issues with how your iTunes store is displaying, try force quitting the app the relaunching. A quick restart of your PC may prove to be helpful but not necessary if quitting and relaunching solves the problem. Follow the steps below to force quit your iTunes Application

    1. Right click the task bar, a menu should show

    2. Click on the Task Manager

    3. Look for the iTunes process and highlight

    4. Then click End Task.

Once the App quits completely, try relaunching to see if the issue is resolved. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities for assistance.

    Have a great day!

This is not an adequate response. It amounts to no more than switch off, then on again.

Apple seem so indifferent to this problem that I can only think they do not want this to work any more.

Trying edit>preferences>advanced>reset cache causes iTunes to freeze.

I think that we should start a movement to boycott the Store until Apple fix it.

I'm seeing the same issue on Windows 7.  I can't remember how to get to these settings on Windows 10 but on 7 this is due to the scaling on the display.  In Win 7 you can right click on the Desktop, choose screen resolution, then make text bigger or smaller.  If I set mine to medium (125%) iTunes is hosed. If I set it to 100% everything works.  Google something like Windows 10 display scaling and try setting it to 100%.

For me this problem showed up about four days ago.

Hi everyone, I'm going to copy/paste this on all the comments on my original post to try to help everyone.  I discovered on my laptop someone changed the size of fonts and apps, and it severely affected iTunes, more than any other app.  I have a very large screen, and lots of programs had very small font.  On iTunes, it really blew everything up.  I had to go to into Settings > Display and there is an option to "Change the size of of text, apps, and other items: 100% (Recommended)"  Previously it was sent to 125%, which did not make other programs or apps look as bad as iTunes.  Now that it is at 100%, iTunes looks good and is working correctly for me.

I changed everything on my computer from 125% to 100% as per above (Windows 10) and iTunes was still blown up and I still couldn't see the right navigation. So I got around the whole thing by using the top nav option on iTunes (Account - Redeem). At this point I'm resetting my computer back to how I like it. Good grief Apple. I guess I don't need to see the right navigation on iTunes. Especially since it doesn't work after freaking changing everything else on my desktop. I opened and closed iTunes a few times, so I don't know if it would work after rebooting. I'm not going to reboot just to see if it would work. That's not a fix.

Same here! Alongside the zooming issue, which hides not only the right-hand sidebars but also the lower bars where I can change the territories, my mouse is clicking on places roughly 2 inches lower left to where it is pointing. This result in me clicking the wrong buttons constantly.

Of course, I've relaunched itunes and the problem lasted even with the latest version. Based on this thread, Apple support seems not willing to help at all.

Bingo!  I had the issue listed in the above complaint.  Changed my text setting to 100% and it worked.
