Q: Problems with IOS 10 update

Hello

I need help.  I updated my iphone 6 plus last night to IOS 10.  The update seemed to have worked, however now I am unable to log in with my Apple ID password as I keep getting a `Verifcation Failed - there was an error connectin to the Apple ID server' error coming up after I try to sign in.  Also, I can't get into the itunes and app store apps.  The itunes app just appears blank and the app store app says `loading' all the time.  In fact I'm having trouble trying to get the majority of my apps to work now either.

The only thing I've tried to do to sort the problem is to turn the phone on and off again.  Any suggestions please?

Jane.

    Greetings anfield5jane,

I see that after updating your iPhone 6 plus last night to iOS 10, you are now unable to log in with your Apple ID and password. You are getting a verification failed message. I know how important it is to make sure that you can use these apps and services.

I would suggest force closing the App Store and iTunes app, and then reopening to see if you get the same issue. The following article will help: Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you notice that this helps, try to force close the other apps that are having the same issue.

I would also test this on cellular data and Wi-Fi to see if you get the same result.

Please let us know what happens. We're here to help out.

    Best Regards.

    Hello Sarah_s1

Thank you for your reply. However in the meantime I rang Apple support and after an hour and 2 Supprt advisors, we managed to work out that my wifi wasn't connecting properly on my phone after the update. All I needed to do was turn the wifi 'off and on again' on my phone And hey presto all the apps started working again!

    Thanks again for your advice.
