Q: Photos Albums People Synchronization

Hello,

I would like to kindly ask you, how te set my account or Photos application to synchronize my albums People.

I have my Photos synchronized by Cloud between iPhone, iPad, iMac mini, MacBook.

All works well, photos are synchronized. I see a issue in album called People, where I have defined my family pictures. I have define "faces" on my iPhone, but I do not know how to synchronize these definition of faces between other synchronized HW. I do not want to define on each HW new albums People and on each HW, find faces, I would like to go through the proces of face definition once for all my synchronized HW with Photos. It is mean  that I would like to have identical face definition on all HW. Should somebody help me with the set of application or cloud, to synchronize defdined people in Album People worked well?

iPhone 6s, iOS 10

once Photos has finished the scan for the faces of persons on all your devices with iOS 10 the persons should be syncing between the iOS devices that are using the same AppleID for iCloud. This is described in the user guide for iOS 10.  The Photos help for Photos on Sierra has not yet been published, so we cannot say anything about the Persons syncing with Photos on a Mac yet.

With the currently released software there is no sync of face albums between IOS devices and the Mac and no third party solution (I doubt that a third party can even do that)

Hello, thank you fo your message. All my HW are connected to one identical icloud account. The first scan have been done on my iPhone. There was no reaction on my iPad.  I started the scan pocess on iPad too, some days after. I have two different albums Faces now. I tested it one hour before, and face detected on my iPhone is not detected on iPad..... hmm face is de facto detected like face, but the name of person is not synchronized. On synchronized picture, face was detected (my face)  and the name was selected not automaticaly, but by me. The identical picture was synchronized automatically, a face was detected, but the name is missing and I have to specify it again. Sorry for complicated specification or try of explain.

Has the scan on the iPad finished as well?

The syncing should start, when the people scan has finished on all devices.

    See the user guide:

    http://help.apple.com/iphone/10/#/iph9c7ee918cT

People are synced among devices where you’re signed in with the same Apple ID.

Tonight the counter part to iOS 10 on the Mac will be released. Perhaps there are still services iniCloud that need to be activated.

I agree that this information should be synchronized in iCloud Photo Library

Thanks for sharing - you (and many others including me) think it should

But unless you tell Apple ( http://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html ) your opinion will not change anything

Done. But as the link up the thread notes, this is already supposed to be working.

And as the answer states it is not currently  implemented - the users here can not address that - only APple can so you need to discuss this with them not the user here
