Q: iOS 10 to UConnect via USB

Upgraded to iOS 10 recently like many other people and don't really see any issues.

However, when I plug into my truck (2016 Ram with UConnect 8.4N) I no longer get any audio play through. The data comes across, so I can see what is playing, but no audio through the truck. The audio instead is coming from the phone (iPhone 6).

Also, I have a 2015 Challenger with the same radio (UConnect 8.4N), and I have the same issue. I can see whats playing on the screen but the audio only plays through the phone.

Anybody else experiencing this? Does Apple know of the issue? Does Chrysler?

Should be fixed with the next iOS update, which should happen any time now.

I tried updating uconnect as well as new ios update.  Nothing worked until I reset uconnect to factory settings, now it's working fine.

I'm having this problem in my 2015 Dodge Charger. I have all the updates to the vehicle and phone. It was doing this right after installing the iOS 10 beta on my iPhone 6, then got better. I Recently got the iPhone 7 and now it's started again. Today my music would not play via USB, or BT.  BT music has never really worked with dodge, not even in my 2012 Charger. It has always sounded like a CD skipping. My phone does not work via BT. It keeps switching back and forth between the phone and car wildly and random. Says "not connected" and it's unable to connect unless I repeatedly try to pair over and over. Is there a fix for this?

I had the issue of no audio output from USB connection to Uconnect.  I upgraded to the Siri release of Uconnect and it still had the problem last night.  I plugged in my iPhone 6 with 10.0.2 and this morning it works again.  I'm not sure what changed between last night and this morning... My experience was to get on latest revs of both Uconnect and iOS. FWIW...

I have the exact same issue with an iPhone 6s that worked fine in my 2016 Jeep before the IOS 10 update. Just as jcd1877 described, you can see the what is playing on the screen, the track, the audio book, whatever, but no sound comes through the 2016 uconnect Jeep speakers. It does work (sound through the speakers) using bluetooth, but I can't charge and listen at the same time because when the connection is wired (audio jack or USB port), then the sound does not come through. It is not the car uconnect, the problem is the iPhone. So frustrating.

I couldn't see any update from the uconnect site, audio works through Bluetooth but as you experienced, reverts to the phone as soon as the device is plugged in and recognized as an ipod/iPhone. I have 10.0.2

Just updated to iOS 10.0.3  on my 7 plus and now it working in my 2017 Durango with the 8.4. I did not work as described in the first post. But seems to work perfectly now. Looks like apple fixed it. So go update your iPhone and problems should be gone.

I am also having issue with Uconnect. when I am on the phone via Bluetooth the Bluetooth disconnects from the car and I can only hear the phone conversation on the phone and then reconnects this happens multiple time. also when i listen to music on the car and using waze the phone connect to the car via Bluetooth multiple times.  This make speaking on the phone (hands free) or listening to the radio very hard and extremely frustrating.  I have an Iphone 7 with IOS 10.03 and the latest Uconnect software.  any suggestions for fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Start by deleting the phone from your vehicle on unconnected. Then remove Uconnect from your phone.  Re-pair the phone to the vehicle and see if it works normal again.
