Q: How do I safely disconnect Time Machine and install new one?
Somehow my Time Machine is not doing its job. It is still plugged in but says not connected. Anyway, it's old and storage size is small.
Just bought a new one, WD My Book for Mac. I need to safely remove the old one and install this new one.
I don't see Time Machine in my Finder or the Menu bar. Want to make sure I'm doing it right. Do I go to System Preferences, open Time Machine, click "Select Disk", highlight my current Time Machine, and click "Remove Disk"?
Are these links correct to install my new back-up disk?
macOS Sierra: Connect a new backup disk to your Mac
Thanks,
