Sep 17, 2016 11:48 AM in response to jackhahahahahaby darren.s,Hello jackhahahahaha,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that since updating to iOS 10, other callers are unable to hear you when using your iPhone 6. Being heard can be most important part of a phone call. I want to make sure others are able to hear you clearly.
First I recommend restarting your iPhone. This can resolve many unexpected behaviors. Use the steps below to restart, if needed.- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue persists, test the microphones on your iPhone and follow the "Get help" section in the link below.

Have an amazing day!

Sep 24, 2016 9:51 AM in response to darren.sby Sobell House,I manage about 15 iPhones for a small team in the UK and over the past week almost all the users have complained to me about the same thing. All but one of those who complained are on the Vodafone network the other uses Giff Gaff (O2?). Is this a widespread problem? Is Apple aware of the problem? Can you advise how to fix this issue? We have tried resetting all the phones and it has not helped. We have checked the microphones - they are working and switched on.

Oct 3, 2016 1:24 PM in response to jackhahahahahaby jomino,I sort of have this problem, as well as my wife. We just got our iphone 7's sent to us last week and intermittently when we make or receive calls, the other person on the line complains that they can't hear us or that we cut out or fade out, and it is really starting to get annoying. We have both checked our mic's on the voice memo app and when we call each other on our phones we can't seem to replicate the issue. We don't have the best reception in our home, but when we were using our old phones, we were also not using IOS 10, we hadn't updated until we had our new phones and we never had an issue, even with one bar. What is the problem?

Oct 13, 2016 12:29 PM in response to orangebuckeyeby lahuerita,Several in our office are having the same issues. Several seconds after accepting a call and during the conversation, the phone will go silent. Neither you nor the party you are speaking to can hear each other. However, the screen still shows you in an active call. This has happened numerous times during the day since upgrading to IOS 10.0.2. We need a fix immediately as this happened during a 911 call today!

Oct 19, 2016 2:58 AM in response to jackhahahahahaby maxgoesinternet,I updated to 10.0.3 because it seem to have the fix for exactly our problem. Turns out that the problem still exists after the update and makes it even worse. What happenend only occasionally, now happens in every phonecall. Not acceptable for buisness calls. I am forced to look for alternatives now.

Oct 19, 2016 4:41 AM in response to jackhahahahahaby lahuerita,Update to my original post:
I called Apple Tech support and they were able to walk me through a reset. Since the reset, I have not had any of the issues. You may want to try it. Go to Settings>General>Reset (all the way to the bottom of the screen) then select Reset All Settings. The phone will go through a restore and reboot. You'll have to reset your WiFi password but it fixed the problem I was having. Hope this helps!

Oct 19, 2016 5:11 AM in response to lahueritaby orangebuckeye,Perhaps you mean Reset Network Settings and NOT reset All? Reset All will delete everything from your phone and reset to factory settings. I could be wrong...unless they changed something.

Oct 19, 2016 6:51 AM in response to orangebuckeyeby lahuerita,No, Apple Support had me select Reset All. I was worried that it would delete all of my settings and apps but everything loaded back just fine (all my settings, email, etc.) with the exception of the WiFi password. I just reentered it and it's been working fine since then. We did the same with my husband's phone and it fixed his problem too.
