I was doing a backup last night on my PowerMac G5 Dual 2.7Ghz machine using SuperDuper!. The fans lately on my machine have been periodically spinning up and down over and over. During the backup, I noticed the fans were spinning up more often than normal and I though that a backup wouldn't be very CPU intensive (turns out the CPUs were loaded from 30 - 45% during the backup). Anyway, I downloaded Hardware Monitor 3.8 and it was showing 60-65C on CPU-A, but 75 - 85C on CPU-B during the backup! Occasionally CPU-B would even jump to 87C! This should not be happening should it? Ambient temp in the room is probably around 78 - 80F.

Is this within limits?? Should I seek out a repair on my cooling system (since it is water + air cooled)?
