So, upgraded like everyone else today... went through my iPod (not while inside iTunes) and some tracks that previously had Album artwork now don't have it. Tried to "paste" the artwork back... although it appears to have cover art when inside iTunes, but once I unplug the iPod from my Mac, the album artwork doesn't show up again.

Same with this new "get album art" feature. Any album I retrieve art for through iTunes shows up (in iTunes), but not on the iPod screen.

What gives? Why mess with a good, working thing? Or at least have it working properly when you get it out there. That's something Windows would do. Hope there's a patch available soon.

Possibly the new artwork file storage method is not supported with the old iPods.

I don't know Windows that well, I'm afraid. Try posting in the Using iTunes for Windows forum.

In the iTunes settings, you may wish to examine the new tabs whilst your iPod is connected and ensure "enable iTunes Artwork" is still checked. If not, recheck it and click "Apply".

If I'm being a silly git and you've already tried this, please accept my most humble apologies for wasting your time.

The problem seems to be mildly sporadic too, since some album art appears OK on my iPod 4G Photo, and some doesn't.

Doing a restore on your iPod seems to do the trick. I can see a whole lot more album art than before, and spot checks indicate that the new artwork seems to be OK.

I found that if I unchecked the option to include artwork on my ipod, applied that then rechecked the option, all artwork was added, new and old.

I'm having the same problem with getting artwork to transfer--I tried unchecking the "display album artwork on your iPod" and re-checking it, as others have done, but it doesn't work.

    Hi all

I am not sure if this applies to all as I manually manage my songs. Previously I just dragged folders from my hard drive to the ipod and everything worked. Now, with the new iTunes, no artwork on the ipod! I restored and restored again, checked and unchecked....but nothing worked. I think I found MY solution though through trial and error....apparently artwork is handled differently in this new version... so now I have to add the folders first to the library and then drag from the library to the ipod....voila all my artwork is there. It requires one more step not unlike the having to "command info" to add artwork to multiple tracks NOW (everything is taking me just a bit longer to do)!

My other small gripe is using the word "delete" instead of "clear". I thought "clear" was a much more appropriate and nicer word.

same here - anything that i have put in manually through itunes 7 does not show up on my ipod. i have also tried the above suggestions with no luck.

they still appear just fine in itunes, just not on my ipod. album artwork that itunes found for me looks fine in itunes and on my ipod.

    helllllp!

Sorry that is is not working for you. Try this. Make sure the album art is embedded in the songs and not just downloaded through itunes music store. To embed the album art...select all songs and "get info" (apple-I) and drag the art wotk to the little artwork box. If it is embedded and then dragged from your library to the ipod...it should work. See if this helps.

Thanks for the idea, Sarah, and it seems to work...but how do you propose embedding the artwork for hundreds of tracks?
