I completed my 5k on Thanksgiving day. The activity is visible in both my Activity app and in the Health app. But the special achievement never showed up. Not the end of the world, but it does kind of suck.

The special award has only been available in the United States. Have you been in the US or has your iPhone been set to a location in the US?
Yes, I'm in the US.
Contacted Apple Support by chat. They suggested un-pairing and re-pairing my watch. No help. Then they wanted to set up an RTA (request for technical assistance) phone call. Spending however long on the phone is where I draw the line getting this fixed. Annoying.
