Apple Watch activity tracking is broken since 3.1.1

Since the last update for the Apple Watch it look like the indication for the activity tracker got changed. Now it does recongnize that I am standing all the time, even when I am sleeping. Before the update it was working fine and it had been a challenge to reach the goal, now I can reach my goal during my night sleep. is there anyway to define the settings for standing or can only apple fix this again?

Hi

For the purpose of crediting the hourly Stand achievement, your watch aims to identify when you have stood up and moved around for at least one minute during that hour.

Apple Watch uses an accelerometer to identify movement. It is possible that your arm movements during the night are sufficient to cause progress to be credited.

The following steps may help:

Calibrate your watch (follow the instructions in the linked article below). Calibration enables your watch to more accurately estimate various fitness and activity-related results. It does this by teaching your watch how your arm moves when you are walking and/or running:

Activity estimations also depend on your personal information. To check that this is accurate (and to update it over time):

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Health > Edit (upper-right).

Restart both your iPhone and your watch:

Hello Jonathan,

I did try your suggestions but it did not work, still it does count every hour to my stay activity as long I wear the watch. I did contact support as well and they did recommend to re-pair the watch with my iPhone, but this does not work either. After the 3.1.1 is called back I assume there are more issues with this build.

Thx Steffen
