iPhone 6S running 11.2 - recently, inbound texts (imessages) appear above my sent messages (up until now, they've always appeared in order based on the time sent/received) even though they were received after my message was sent.

Same here. During a imessage conversation, replies to my messages appear above the ones I sent. As if IOS thinks there are sent earlier. Is it sorting them by time? Maybe it is out of sync by a couple of seconds and it messes with how the messages are sorted?
I am having the same issue. I’ve asked a few of my contacts about this too and they are seeing replies also apppear above the sent message. It’s getting confusing in some conversations. The person I’m texting also sees the messages appearing in the wrong order.
I hope this is an easy bug to fix.
I’ve tried rebooting my phone and checking for software updates. Neither is helping.
Same issue here. I tried the recommended action from earlier/similar posts and ensured the Date and Time were set to automatic. It didn't work.
