“Very low end”??? What are you saying??

The recommended operating range is from 0 to 35 degrees. My flash stops working at 10-22 degrees (Celsius). I believe this limit is far away from the low end of operating range!! This is unacceptable!

And it’s also unacceptable that Apple doesen’t answer to all the people complaining for this problem!!

Hello soundband,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you are experiencing issues with the flash on your iPhone. Based on what you stated, please follow the relevant steps in these resources, including these troubleshooting steps:

Your flash isn't working

Use Control Center to test the LED flash. Turn the flashlight off and on. If the LED flash doesn't work as a flashlight, contact Apple Support.

If the flash isn’t working, or it goes off every time you take a photo, check your flash settings. Tap User uploaded file in the upper left of the screen to choose a different setting.

If you take extended video with the flash on, or you’re using the device in a very warm environment, you might see a message that says the flash is disabled. The message remains until your device cools down.

I have the same problem. Outside, with cold temperatures (+10/12 Celsius), the flash of the camera doesn’t work. Even if you force it. I tried all the procedures you’ve suggested and the led light works properly. Only when I try to take a picture, the flash doesn’t work. I also tried the DFU procedure. No way. Same problem. Please solve it!! 949€!!!! And I cannot take picture outside!!!!

Why do not you want to see the problem? a lot of people are faced with this problem. A week after I bought the iphone 8 - I bought my wife iphone 8 plus. she has the same problem with the flash. it stops working on the street at +5 degrees Celsius. Do not need people to give useless advice. Let Apple get the courage and acknowledge it as a factory marriage or release an iOS update if it's a software problem.

This a user to user forum and you will never get an official response from Apple. They merely host the forum. If you want to be heard by Apple, then submit your thoughts to apple.com/feedback or contact Apple support. You can call my comments useless if you like, the fact of the matter is that the operating range is just that, an estimate.
