An error occurred while copying the Windows installation files.

I've seen this issue surface on other threads but there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer so I am posting myself.

This is the issue I am having:

The following are steps I took to create the partition:

EDIT: Shoot I forgot to copy the log. I'll delete the partition and try again.

EDIT2: It's weird because it still seems like Disk Util is still trying to create a container as opposed to a volume. That's wrong. Or maybe I'm reading incorrectly.

Actually this failed. I tried to create a 10GB FAT partition called "testPartition". This is the output log:

So is the failed test partition indicative of a hardware problem?

And no I don't have any anything connected to my MBP at the moment; just the charging cable.

EDIT:

Seems like the error in partitioning only happens in the Mounting of the partition.

I tried making another partition and the same error occurred. I closed Disk Utility and re-opened it and re-mounted the test partition. Now it's mounted successfully. So it does seem like a temporary error of some sort.
