were all 10 different media from the same manufacturer?
try a lower burn speed....

The media was from different manufacturers. Lower burnspeed is also tried. The funny thing is that my frind and i got exactly the same machines, delivered at the same day. The machine is at work now, i´ll post back some more specs tomorrow. Thanks

I had the same problem with my MBP if you have the matsushita j857 go to an Apple store ,they will replace it, will take at least 5 days.

Hi! I dont think i have the Matsushita drive, in system profile the name of the burner is "HL-DT-ST DVDRW GWA4080M". It´s a kind of cryptic, who is the manufacturer of a drive with this name? my friend had the same problem
i told him to go into disk utility (apps > utilities) and repair disk permissions

Currently Being ModeratedMar 26, 2007 12:59 PM (in response to Neil Desai)I believe this worked for me as well. Mine is the Matshita drive, I ran FSCK in single user mode as well just to be safe.
