Hey guys! I just want to ask a question. Is there a program that can let people with .mac accounts chat with those who use MSN or Hotmail?

No, there is no way to do this.

.Mac currently uses the AIM protocol, and MSN uses the MSN protocol. They are incompatible.

When everyone is using XMPP/Jabber you'll be able to do it, but the big incumbents have shown no interest in doing this yet, so it's at least 5 years down the road.

    hi Electroholic,

AS Rocky says it is a way off at the moment.

Currently as I said in your other thread it is a question of a suitable app to join the MSN network that will Video or Audio chat. (see that page 5 link)

I actually run my MSN and Yahoo through iChat. It's not too difficult. Do a Google search for MSN and Yahoo Jabber transports. Basically you run your MSN and Yahoo through a jabber server.
