Jan 21, 2007 10:48 AM in response to nsburcherby Mireille,I have exactly the same problem. Macbook will not start without charger even though battery is completely full. Lights up for a sec and than completely shuts down.
Hopefully someone can shed a light on this. -
Jan 21, 2007 2:25 PM in response to nsburcherby King Klick,Both of you may be expercing a random shut down or a defualt battery. I would give apple a call and tell them about your problem, They should replace it for free. -

Just developed this problem, the Macbook is now 6 months old - will contact Apple for a replacement battery. -
Jan 23, 2007 12:45 PM in response to Mr&MrrsBby ynzevanderspek,Same problem here. Plus: When I disconnect the MagSafe connector, the MacBook shuts down almost immediatly. The problem occured for the first time in november '06. After I installed the firmware-updates 1.0 and 1.1, the MacBook worked fine. Until last week, that is. I left the PB on the charger for several hours. Sice then, the problem is back.

Jan 25, 2007 11:47 AM in response to nsburcherby ESwance16,hey
i had a similar thing with my battery
I just did what apple told me to:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319
and now it seems to be recharging, try it out
ps does anyone know that if you do request a new battery from apple, do they just send it to you or do you have to send your old on in first?
