I have successfully acquired the upgrade key and found the registration. I enter it with my name and it successfully shows that QuickTime Pro is valid.

I press ok and then go to QuickTime. The QuickTime product still has not unlocked the Pro menu items.

I go to the QuickTime registration in the menu in QuickTime and it shows the same window I entered my upgrade key in. I enter my upgrade key again....it still does not open the Pro Menu items.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???????

Sony, Windows XP

Sub Issue :I Can't install my registration code
Code installs and on the control panel: it changes to quicktime pro on the control panel as in the instructions but the program when opened remains in the basic version (options grayed out).

I have deleted and reinstalled with the same results.

    I have a XP 2 GB RAM AMD Turion 64 2.19 Ghz

Please help me activate the Pro features.

Sounds like the 3 of us have exactly the same problem and I don't find any record of a post like this in the past.

Did we all purchase it yesterday?

What format of movie are you trying to edit? MPEG, by chance?

I've been diddling with this problem off and on for over a month. Last night I tried one of the suggestions I saw on the forum (again), i.e., COPY and PASTE the key as it appears in your confirmation of purchase email from Apple. That worked. I absolutely keyed in the letters and numbers with fidelity to the original, but pasting was what finally made all the grey turn to black.
