Currently Being ModeratedMay 30, 2007 9:51 AM (in response to Dave Halton)I have an Epson CX6600 multifunction printer that worked perfectly plugged into the USB on my AEBS until I installed firmware 7.1 yesterday. After the firmware update the airport utility wouldn't acknowledge the printer anymore.
I've fixed the problem temporarily. Turn off both AEBS and printer. Turn printer back on first, then when it's ready, turn on AEBS. It should show the printer in the airport utility and you'll be able to print. I'm just going to leave my printer on to avoid having to go through the same process every morning.
The downside is that the LED on the base station constantly flashes amber and the error message it gives is that my base station doesn't have a valid IP address. In reality it does of course and I'm connected to the internet just fine. The AEBS for some reason reads a conflict between the router and printer.
I've read the 7.1 update affects other brands of printers similarly so hopefully Apple will release another firmware update to solve the problem.
Hope this is of some help.

Read this Apple article:
In Airport Utility I clicked on Advanced icon, then on IPv6 tab, then checked the box marked "Block incoming IPv6 connections", and restarted my base station.
It acknowledges my printer AND has a steady green light.
Fingers crossed this is the solution!

I turned off my printer and airport utility couldn't "find" it when I turned it back on. Have to unplug & plug back in AEBS.
