I use a Kensington 120 Watt DC Power adaptor with different tips for charging my electronics when on the road/vacation. This saves bring separate chargers for my notebook, camera, iPod and cell phone. Is the power requirements the same for the iPhone the same as the iPod. In short, will the iPod charger work with the iPhone? Thanks

any news on this yet? i have to take off soon on a trip and would love to pack one less adapter/wire. seems that the same tip for the ipod should work fine (i have the igo juice70), just afraid to be the first guy that finds out otherwise.

I used an iPod car adapter today, it seemed to work. It was a little strange though, the status light on the cig. plug would alternate between red and yellow. Charing was not swift, after an hour ride the battery went from about 25% to 75%.

There are several good options. What I do is I purchased a kit that had a nice travel charger where the prongs folded away and a car adapter--both had a USB connection, so you could charge different phones using the same charger but with different cables. The iPod cable attaches perfectly.

Yeah, they're exactly the same. If ya go to an apple store and look for a second charger, you'll see that they're the same.

I've had an iGo for years. Everytime I get a new phone, it only costs me $10-$12 for the car charger replacement (i.e. new tip).

iGo confirmed that the A61 tip works with the iPhone. That's the one I've been using.
