anyway to use Mail on the iPhone without a .mac account like i do on my laptop? I just don't like gmail's no-folder policy. I end up with hundreds of emails...

You don't need a .Mac account to use Mail on the iPhone. It works with any Pop or Imap mail as well as the services it offers in setup. Just sync with your email acct on your PC/Mac or enter it in with the server settings after choosing Other when iPhone prompts you to setup a mail account.

I wouldnt go as far as saying ANY pop server, I go to Iowa State and they said theyre not supporting mail to it through their exchange server. I thought maybe I could do it anyway, but then I ran into the problem of the iphone not having kerbros which is required for logging in....I wish I could, but I will just use my gmail account to my phone instead for now
