I've got a dead (flaky?) pixel bottom-center of my screen.

Its color changes and doesn't always appear correct - i.e. it's white on a black background and red on a yellow background.

Is it worth seeing a genius to discuss a single dead pixel?

Absolutely. They'll probably replace the phone.

In such a small screen, I would never accept it... In a large plasma or LCD only if the non-conforming pixel was not in the main viewing area... And not if it was a flasher, or someting equally annoying... But a high-quality 480x320 @ 160 dpi -- no.

I have the same issue. Just curious if they exchanged it for you at the Apple Store. Thanks!

They will swap it. I had the same problem. They have reserves for this.
