One responsibility we have and always take seriously is the need to communicate status and possible time to resolution. Do we miss it sometimes? Yes. But, even a guess can be better than nothing. Please, Apple, if you are listening. Give us an update. It does get frustrating to keep coming back day after day and getting the 5002 error.

However, it's pretty disappointing that they don't even say how long it will take them to fix. Very frustrating. Intermittently over the last few days, the podcast directory pages have been unavailable. Clicking on most podcasts in the podcast directory (or search or through the -> button on your subscriptions) to bring up their podcast page results in a "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out."
This seems to have started right about the same time as the iPhone release. My guess is that the increase in iTunes traffic due to the "innovative" new method of activating your iPhone and perhaps other iPhone related iTunes tasks have had a ripple effect, causing various problems. The discussion forums here have also had a few problems, intermittently becoming unavailable and a few other issues...mostly due to increase in traffic from the new "iPhone" forum.
The podcast directory also happens to be the red-headed stepchild of iTunes, in that very little development or attention to problems seems to happen with it...it's a free service Apple is providing so I'm sure they try to spend as little money on it as possible.

This is kind of daily - if not hour dependent business.
I am trying to post a feed since last friday. This means tomorrow seven days, a whole week passed with error 5002. I try to deal with calmness, but...

Any luck? I've been getting the same 5002 error for about a week now as well. Very frustrating, especially when I know for a fact that 90% of our audience growth will come from iTunes. Without an iTunes store page we might as well start walking around and letting people on the street know about our podcast...MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.9)
As of Friday I have been able to submit my podcast, but I haven't gotten any e-mails from iTunes saying that they've received my submission.
The good news, is that the fifth time I submitted the podcast, I got an error that said it had already been submitted - - so at least that looks like they've got something working.
Any ideas on why the initial "we've received your submission" e-mails are taking so long? In the past whenever I've submitted a podcast it's taken 24 hours, tops.G5, Mac OS X (10.4.10)
