Aug 2, 2007 5:42 PM in response to Marc DGby Grant Bennet-Alder,★HelpfulNew parts are no longer available.
But there are folks who have discovered the "large chunks" you can quickly separate a computer into are worth more as parts than as complete systems. Complete screen unit for powerBook G3 is a commonly-available part. There are three different ones for the WallStreet PowerBook alone.
eBay is one place where some of those parts are available. Tested parts with a modest warranty are available from online sellers and repairers of iBooks and Powerbooks with their own web sites. Full repair service with warranty is also available. -

E-mail me at Sagesse63 ATTY gmail DOTTY com. I may be able to help. It is against the terms of use for me to talk about a direct sale here on the forums.
(Please do NOT spell out my e-mail address in any form other than the one I have used above.) -
Aug 3, 2007 7:53 AM in response to Marc DGby Texas Mac Man,You can join LEM-Swap for buying & selling Mac stuff. http://groups.google.com/group/lemswap
After you join, post a WTB (want to buy).
From time to time I've seen posts by users who are selling parts & pieces of non-operating/damaged powerbooks. Don't know if they will ship outside the US.
Cheers, Tom
