iPod 3rd/4th Gen click wheel stuck while using Voice Memo. Is frozen on the 'recording' process. Will not reset, using Menu/Select or Menu/Play-Pause. (After toggling hold.)

I need to save this voice memo. Shall I leave the iPod as is to hopefully wind down battery so as to power up again from computer?

How else can I reset if it won't do it as told?

Thanks

Tony

Seems to be your only option.

In some cases, the iPod might get into a state in which the battery needs to be drained before it can be reset so try these steps.

    1. Disconnect iPod from all power sources and leave it disconnected for about 24 hours.

    2. Reconnect iPod to the Apple iPod Power Adapter or the computer and reset it.
