So, I just got a new Nano and the Nike stuff. I used it for the first time this morning and while all the running tracking stuff worked just fine (kept my pace, announced the mileage in my headphones, etc.), it wouldn't play any music through. It acts like it's playing the songs (gives the song/artist listing in the right place on screen), but the only audio I get is the mileage announcer. The Nano plays music just fine otherwise. Anyone have any thoughts?

That happened to me this morning. I changed the music and selected a different playlist and it worked fine. I'll see tomorrow if the same thing happens.

Same problem for me - although I have the new 8 gb Nano - was assured by Customer Service that it would work with the Nike+ Sport Kit.

Let us know if the additional playlist(s) help. Good to get the feedback as I'll be getting a 3rd Gen soon...

    Cheers,

This doesn't address how the new armband won't accommodate the sensor you have to plug into bottom of the Nano, but that's another thread entirely

Wait... it doesn't? I came upon a thread on Nike's site saying it did so I had planned to purchase one. Now I am confused. You confirm it does not accommodate the sensor?

Yes the new Apple nano armband does work with the Nike+ transmitter attached. There is an adjustable band on the bottom that allows for it. See the description here.

Thanks for the clarification on that. Now that you have pointed out the link I understand better what the thread on Nikes site was talking about. There was mention of an adjustable band. Makes sense now. Thanks again!

I am having big problems with getting any non-music playlist to play with the Nike+. I like to listen to audiobooks and podcasts during my workouts. I tried deleting all my playlists and re-entering, changing from Smart to regular and back, and nothing is working. This is very frustrating.

Plan and simple it is not working, I am restoring to see if that works. I guess it means another trip to the store this week. Very frustrating. Let me know if anyone knows what is going on...

I had something different happen - I went over an hour and my music stopped playing. Did the "show the song, but nothing playing" thing. I will try changing announcer thing - I can only get music to play in "shuffle" mode.

I too can only get music to play in shuffle mode. I select "basic", then "playlists", then my playlist and it just plays all songs shuffled.

I did fins a workaround by starting my playlist from the normal music menu, then go to nike+ipod, select the workout, select "now playing".

Apple really dropped the ball with quality assurance on the nike+ipod playlist.
